About the Role
Equifind is collaborating with a highly successful boutique private equity firm that is seeking to hire a Fund Accountant. The firm currently manages over $4bn in assets under management (AUM) and is rapidly expanding, with new hires across all departments.
To date, investments have been made in life sciences, technology, retail, and agriculture globally, with a substantial pipeline of further investments in progress! This position will report to the Head of Funds Finance and is the third hire in the fund finance function due to the increasing workload. The firm now has just over 40 members across operations, the investment team, board, finance, and support functions, making it an agile team in the market.
This is a broad role suitable for someone recently qualified who aims to add real value through their work. You will cover fund accounting, investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, and more, which is a rare opportunity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
