Fund Accountant – Private Capital

Location: Glasgow

Contract: 6 months initially, Inside IR35

The Role

Join a Private Capital Fund Accounting team, providing fund valuation and accounting services to private capital funds, ensuring compliance with fund documentation, client SLAs, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Financial Statements (IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP)
  • Prepare valuations, reconciliations, drawdowns, distributions, accruals, and expenses
  • Double-entry bookkeeping and cash reconciliation
  • Prepare investor capital statements and IRR calculations
  • Liaise with clients, auditors, and internal teams; attend client/audit meetings
  • Ensure client SLAs and internal deadlines are met
  • Support process/checklist improvements and control documentation
  • Support system/platform implementation and change activity

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Financial services experience, ideally fund accounts preparation (private capital preferred)
  • Fully or part qualified (ACCA/ACA or similar) preferred; studying towards ACCA/ACA or similar will also be considered
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent Excel proficiency
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communicator, team player, able to meet deadlines

  • Understanding of private capital fund structures (GP/LP/Feeder)
  • Awareness of private capital industry standards and regulations
  • Experience in a multi-national environment
