Fund Accounting Manager | Real Estate & Investment Management | Central London | £60,000–£64,000 | 12-Month FTC
Robert Half are partnering with a leading international investment management business to recruit a Fund Accounting Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a 1-year fixed-term contract, so we are ideally looking for someone who is happy with a 12-month contract and comfortable committing to the full duration of the role. The role is available to start within the next month, so candidates will need to be immediately available or currently serving their notice period.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant, ideally ACA qualified, who has trained within audit and gained experience auditing investment management businesses, funds or asset management clients.
📊 About the Position
You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing monthly and quarterly financial reporting for a portfolio of UK and European real estate funds, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery.
- Reviewing financial statements and challenging accounting treatments to ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant fund reporting requirements.
- Presenting financial reporting to clients, responding to queries and building strong, long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating reconciling items and ensuring robust financial controls are maintained across the funds.
- Overseeing VAT and CIS reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and filing requirements.
- Acting as a key finance contact for fund teams, asset managers, operations teams and clients, providing technical accounting and financial support.
- Working closely with third-party administrators, external auditors, tax advisers and other service providers to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Coordinating year-end audit processes, managing technical queries and ensuring recommendations arising from external reviews are addressed.
- Supporting the financial management of funds through cash flow monitoring, financial governance and operational oversight.
- Leading the financial onboarding of new clients and mandates, helping to establish appropriate reporting processes, controls and stakeholder relationships.
- Supporting tender processes and the appointment of new external service providers where required.

📋 What We're Looking For
- Newly qualified accountant (ACA qualified).
- Audit-trained with experience auditing funds, asset management or investment management clients.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles and financial controls, ideally with exposure to IFRS.
- Experience working with asset management, investment management, real estate, funds.
- Strong technical accounting skills and the ability to understand and challenge financial reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credible relationships with clients, fund managers, asset managers and external advisers.
- Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused, with a genuine interest in developing beyond a traditional audit role.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
