Job Title: Fund Accountant
Location: London
Systematica Investments is a Jersey-based hedge fund manager with approximately US$14 billion in assets under management across a diversified range of trading strategies. We employ more than 100 colleagues across Jersey, Geneva, London, Singapore, New York, and Shanghai.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Fund Accountant to join our London-based Fund Accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or part-qualified accountant to develop their experience within a global investment management business. The successful candidate will support the delivery of an accurate and dependable fund accounting service, with responsibility across daily P&L, NAV oversight, valuations, financial reporting, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily P&L process, including attribution by driver.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly fund return estimates and performance attribution.
- Support the full month-end close process.
- Apply the valuation source hierarchy and valuation policy.
- Assist the fund administrator in obtaining independent confirmation of external valuations.
- Reconcile estimated NAV and P&L against final figures.
- Monitor daily valuation movements and assess whether they are consistent with market drivers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for senior management covering fund performance, P&L attribution, key drivers, and significant changes.
- Assist with new fund launches, products, business initiatives, and corporate structures.
- Support the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
- Assist with regulatory reporting, including Form PF and AIFMD reporting.
- Identify and implement practical process improvements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Finance, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Client Services.

Experience and Skills
- Relevant experience in fund accounting, product control, or a related finance position, ideally within asset management or financial services.
- Experience in areas such as NAV, P&L, reconciliations, valuations, or financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to improving processes.
- VBA experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to take ownership of work and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Strong academic results in subjects relevant to the position.
- Newly qualified or close to completing a relevant professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
