I’m currently recruiting for a Fund Controller to join a leading Private Markets business on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a senior, hands-on fund finance role with responsibility for the financial control and reporting of private market funds, working closely with Fund Accounting, Operations and Portfolio Management teams.

The role has a broad remit across fund reporting, oversight of third-party administrators, valuations, liquidity, forecasting and process improvement, with a particular focus on ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight and delivery of monthly fund and investor reporting
  • Managing and reviewing reporting outputs from third-party fund administrators
  • Fund modelling, forecasting and performance analysis
  • Cash forecasting, drawdowns and distributions
  • FX hedging and liquidity management
  • Supporting regulatory and tax reporting
  • Acting as a key contact for auditors, administrators and other service providers
  • Supporting the valuation process and Valuation Committee
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen financial controls and improve processes
  • Using technology and data to automate processes and enhance financial reporting and analysis

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
