A leading alternative investment manager is looking to appoint a Senior Finance Manager to join its growing Real Assets platform.

This is a highly visible role sitting at the heart of a substantial European infrastructure investment portfolio. You will take ownership of the financial management of large institutional investment funds while partnering closely with investment, asset management, investor relations, and valuation teams.

The position offers a broad mix of fund finance, corporate finance, business partnering, and asset level oversight, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious qualified accountant looking to step into a commercially focused leadership role.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for the financial management of two European institutional investment funds with combined assets under management exceeding €1bn. The role extends beyond traditional fund reporting and provides exposure to financing activities, forecasting, hedging, project finance, and strategic investment decision making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
