The Firm
Our client is a high-growth alternative investment manager based in London, managing multi Billions in AUM across mezzanine, secondaries and funding solutions strategies. With a rapidly expanding investment team and the launch of new fund products, they are seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Lead to own and scale their fund finance function on the new strategies.
The Role
Reporting to the Head/Co-Head of Fund Finance, you will take ownership of the end-to-end fund accounting function across the firm's mezzanine and secondaries vehicles. This is a senior, hands-on role with the opportunity to build and shape the team as the platform grows. You will act as the primary point of contact for fund-level reporting, NAV oversight, investor reporting and audit and will play a key role in the launch of new fund structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the preparation and review of fund NAV calculations, capital account statements and financial statements across mezzanine and secondaries vehicles
- Manage relationships with third-party fund administrators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
- Transaction Execution - Support financing, and risk evaluation.
- Manage administrator relationships and tax structuring.
- Fund Life Cycle Matters - Oversee fund operations including investor reporting and liquidity management.
- Reporting and financial appraisal - Oversee quarterly reporting, annual financial statements and audit. Fund analysis.
- Lead investor reporting processes including quarterly reports, call and distribution notices, and ad hoc requests
- Oversee cash management, drawdown and distribution waterfalls across fund structures
- Manage fund audits end-to-end, acting as primary liaison with external auditors
- Support the structuring and launch of new fund products
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls, policies and procedures for the fund accounting function
- Manage, mentor and develop junior members of the finance team
- Partner closely with the investment team
- Support tax compliance processes in conjunction with external advisers
- Ad hoc projects

Experience & Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA qualified highly preferred
- Experience in fund operations
- 5-10+ years of fund accounting experience within an alternative investment manager or fund administrator, with direct exposure to private debt, mezzanine or private equity secondaries funds
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and a sound understanding of fund structures
- Hands-on experience managing fund administration relationships and overseeing NAV production
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with investors, auditors and senior stakeholders
