I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
AI Integration
One of the more interesting aspects of the role is the firm’s push around AI within Fund Finance and Portfolio Management. They are actively integrating AI into areas such as NAV reviews, financial statement reviews, liquidity monitoring, and reporting workflows. They want someone who is commercially curious enough to help drive that forward rather than simply sit alongside it.

Ideal Candidate
The team is targeting candidates with approximately 3-6 years of professional experience (PQE) coming from:
- A pan European real estate or private equity fund platform
- Financial Services audit at Manager level with strong real estate, private equity, or asset management exposure
- A third-party fund administrator with strong real estate fund experience and exposure across complex fund structures and full reporting cycles
What We Offer
The role would suit an ambitious and commercially minded individual looking for broader exposure, genuine responsibility, and closer interaction with investment and portfolio management teams within a highly regarded platform.
