Good college funding administration matters.

It helps students get onto the right course. It helps curriculum teams plan and deliver. It supports timetables, registers, funding claims, audits, reports and decisions.

This role will suit someone who loves the detail and is organised.

The Funding Administrator provides a high level of financial and student support to both internal and external stakeholders. The role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining bursary systems, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and compliant with reporting requirements. The post holder will support the effective administration of bursary funding and transaction processing while maintaining robust data quality and audit controls.

What you'll do

  • To provide administrative support to the Bursary application process and to respond efficiently and professionally to enquiries from staff, management and other external stakeholders
  • To maintain, update, develop and support all areas of the Bursary system in line with the requirements of the College
  • To assist the College MIS team and other internal stakeholders in the production of the scheduled payments
  • Be responsible for the collection, input and processing of operational bursary data and to ensure all transactions are input and completed accurately in accordance with prescribed time-scales. This will include:
    • Liaising with internal and external partners
    • Processing of funding support claims for learners
    • Assisting with daily / weekly / monthly ad-hoc reports
    • Assisting with any duties as may be required in other departments in the College in providing a corporate College service
  • To undertake appropriate staff development as agreed with your line manager to keep up to date with developments in the principal area of work
  • Work under your own initiative to liaise with Heads of Departments / Budget Holders to deal with all bursary funding issues
