ESC is a small charity supporting people with endometriosis across the South Coast.
We need an experienced grants researcher to help us map and track funding opportunities, so we always know where to apply and when.
What difference will you make?
ESC runs entirely on the commitment of volunteers and the generosity of funders. Without a clear picture of what funding is available and when, opportunities pass us by and planning becomes reactive rather than strategic.
Your work will directly change that. By building and maintaining a well-organised funding pipeline, you will give ESC the foresight to plan ahead, prioritise the right opportunities, and approach funders with confidence. That clarity translates directly into our ability to deliver more support to people living with endometriosis across the South Coast; people who are frequently dismissed, delayed, and left without the help they need.
This is a role where your expertise will genuinely shape the sustainability of a small charity doing meaningful work.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone with proven experience in grants research or funding development, ideally within the charity or voluntary sector. You will be confident navigating grant databases and trust directories, comfortable assessing eligibility criteria, and able to make clear, practical recommendations about where to focus our efforts.

Strong organisational skills are essential. This role is built around keeping a funding pipeline accurate and up to date, so attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines without losing sight of the bigger picture will matter more than anything else.
You will be working independently and remotely, so we need someone who is self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of their work without close supervision. Clear written communication is important too, as you will need to summarise opportunities and flag priorities in a way that is easy for a non-specialist to act on.
Experience working with small or micro-charities is desirable, as is familiarity with funding streams relevant to women's health, lived experience organisations, or grassroots community groups. An understanding of the grants application process more broadly will also be helpful, even though bid writing does not form part of this role.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who cares about the work. ESC exists to support people who are frequently overlooked by the healthcare system, and we want volunteers who bring not just their skills but their commitment to making a difference.

What will you be doing?
Endometriosis South Coast (ESC) is a registered micro-charity supporting people affected by endometriosis and adenomyosis. We provide community, information, and advocacy for those who too often go unheard, and everything we do is shaped by lived experience.
We are building our capacity to reach more people and sustain our work long term, and funding is central to that. We are looking for an experienced Funding & Grants Forecaster to help us identify and track funding opportunities in a structured and strategic way.
This role focuses on research and pipeline management rather than bid writing. You will build and maintain a clear picture of the funding landscape, so that when we are ready to apply, we know exactly where to look and when. Working closely with our Funding and Fundraising Trustee, your responsibilities will include researching grant and trust opportunities suited to a small women-led health charity; maintaining a funding pipeline tracker with deadlines, eligibility criteria, and award sizes; forecasting funding availability across the year; assessing opportunity fit against our priorities; and flagging anything that needs a longer lead time.
