About this Role
Are you an experienced Securitisation Manager, Structured Finance Manager or Funding Manager looking to take ownership of a significant asset-backed funding facility? As our Securitisation & Funding Manager, based at our Milton Keynes Head Office and reporting to the Group Treasurer, you will take day-to-day ownership of the facility once operational, combining detailed financial control with forward-looking funding analysis and senior stakeholder management.
- Own the day-to-day operation of Dawsongroup's asset-backed securitisation facility, covering borrowing-base calculations, asset eligibility, concentration limits, advance rates, covenants, triggers, utilisation and available headroom.
- Coordinate drawdowns, repayments, funding movements and changes to the underlying portfolio, while identifying emerging risks and escalating potential breaches with clear analysis and recommended actions.
- Deliver accurate contractual reporting to lenders, facility agents, trustees and investors, reconciling portfolio and asset-level data back to internal records and resolving discrepancies quickly.
- Forecast funding requirements and borrowing capacity using expected asset acquisitions, portfolio growth and asset mix, providing scenario analysis that supports wider Treasury and liquidity decisions.
- Act as the principal operational contact for external funding counterparties and work across Treasury, Finance, Technology, Legal, data and operational teams to keep information accurate, timely and decision-ready.
About You
This is a senior specialist appointment, so we are looking for someone who can bring credible, hands-on securitisation or asset-backed funding experience from day one, together with the technical depth to challenge data and protect financial control. You will be professionally qualified, highly analytical and comfortable taking independent ownership of a complex specialist area while explaining technical funding matters clearly to colleagues and external stakeholders.
- You will have direct experience of operating, managing or reporting against a securitisation, warehouse or comparable asset-backed funding facility, with strong knowledge of borrowing bases, eligibility, concentration limits, advance rates, covenants, triggers and facility headroom.
- A relevant professional qualification is required for this search, such as ACT, ACA, ACCA, FCCA, CIMA or another closely related finance or treasury qualification.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability is important, including the ability to analyse and reconcile large, complex datasets, establish robust controls and maintain clear audit trails.
- You will be credible working directly with banks, lenders, agents, trustees, lawyers, auditors and advisers, with experience producing external funding reports and working to contractual deadlines.
- Experience within equipment leasing, fleet, asset finance, receivables finance or another asset-intensive environment would be valuable, as would exposure to refinancing, structured debt transactions, facility amendments, ERP systems or automation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
