Job Description
We are looking for a driven, money-motivated Funding Specialist to join our growing team.
Foleys Faster Payments has recently undergone a restructure and is building on significant growth across the merchant services and business finance sector. We have big ambitions and are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and play a key role in taking the business forward.
This is a sales-focused funding role. You will speak directly with business owners, progress applications, secure the deal and make sure we have everything required to get the application funded.
We are particularly interested in people who already have experience working within Merchant Cash Advance (MCA), business finance, asset finance or alternative lending.
The Role
As a Funding Specialist, you will take ownership of applications from the point they are ready to progress through to completion.
The role is office based, in Altrincham. You'll be speaking with merchants every day, understanding their requirements, building relationships, overcoming objections, chasing outstanding information and working with our funding providers to get deals over the line.
You will be working with established funding providers across the industry, including providers such as YouLend, Gotcapital, 365 Finance and similar MCA/business finance providers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
