Funding/Submission Specialist
This remote role supports the efficient movement of business financing applications from submission through funding.
You will review application details, assess lender requirements, and determine the appropriate placement for each deal.
Working closely with loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders, you will help keep submissions accurate, complete, and moving forward.
The position combines financial analysis, process coordination, documentation management, and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
You will use Salesforce and other digital tools to manage submissions, financial records, approvals, and denials.
Your attention to detail and understanding of U.S. business finance will help identify potential roadblocks and support successful deal outcomes.
This is an opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute directly to timely processing and funding while developing expertise in small business financing.
Accountabilities
- Review and verify application information for completeness and accuracy.
- Analyze waterfall documents and lender criteria to determine the appropriate lender and ensure accurate deal allocation.
- Submit financing applications to lenders through Salesforce and monitor submissions as they progress.
- Manage bank statements and financial documentation in coordination with automated tools and established file-control processes.
- Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and other team members to support efficient application processing.
- Analyze complex deal structures, identify potential roadblocks, and develop practical solutions to move transactions toward completion.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of applications, approvals, and denials in Salesforce.
- Stay informed about relevant industry trends, regulations, and financing practices.
- Follow compliance requirements and internal policies to support effective risk management and operational integrity.

Requirements
- Strong understanding of the U.S. financial services industry, particularly B2B and small business financing.
- Knowledge of credit ratings, their implications, and their role in financing decisions.
- Familiarity with fundamental U.S. financing standards and practices.
- One to two-plus years of experience in small business funding is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex financing scenarios.
- Excellent multitasking, organization, prioritization, and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Results-oriented mindset with the motivation to meet targets, close deals, and support timely funding.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
