Job Description
TDS Global funding is looking for a driven and self-motivated individual to fill the role of UK funding trader.
Roles And Responsibilities Include
- Issue short-term interest rate products to address dealer funding needs
- Generate revenue from the investment of firm excess liquidity into cash products and central bank facilities
- Optimize funding tenor and product type to minimize funding and liquidity costs
- Advise clients and internal partners on developments in short-term interest rate and wholesale funding markets
- Leverage holistic understanding of global short-term interest rate markets and bank liquidity to generate trade ideas
- Identify opportunities (tactical and strategic) that reduce firm inefficiencies and grow franchise business
- Manage the funding impact resulting from trading activities in other business lines
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments and understand their impacts to the market and the business
Job Requirement
- Price fixed and floating levels for Certificates of Deposit, Commercial Paper and wholesale funding deposits across G7 currencies
- Identify revenue opportunities across cash and interest rate products
- Manage multicurrency portfolio of cash in line with firm needs and day-to-day Funding Operations
- Manage risk, ticketing and P&L for London funding books
- Provide periodic commentary for clients, internal desks, and various internal committees
- Develop efficiencies or opportunities via automating or synthesizing data
- Develop and execute tactical and strategic solutions to minimize regional and global liquidity costs
- Forge strong relationships with key business partners, understand financial markets and regulation and apply analytics to drive commercial value

Qualifications
- Minimum five years experience in financial markets in a trading capacity across a breadth of interest rate products
- High level of proficiency in Python
- High level of proficiency in MS Office, Bloomberg, VBA or comparable coding language
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and experience speaking to technical and business audiences
- High level of proficiency in statistical analysis on large datasets
- Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Self-starter
