Like many charities, we are finding the current context for fundraising challenging. We believe we need to seek the help of someone with professional fundraising experience to support our long term sustainability.
What difference will you make?
We believe that the current external fundraising environment requires us to change and seek professional experience to protect the long term sustainability & ambitions of Headway Tyneside. You will have an opportunity to get to know and make a real difference to members of our local ABI community, who tell us how critical our programme is to their quality of life.

What are we looking for?
You will have professional fundraising experience. Ideally, you will want to help from strategy development through to execution.
You will like working independently, but you will also need to interact effectively with key contacts in our Board, and with our two staff members.
You will have excellent communication skills, and be a strong ambassador for Headway Tyneside.
Hybrid
What will you be doing?
You will work with the Board and Staff at Headway Tyneside to lead our fundraising strategy. You will -
- Guide where to focus fundraising effort;
- Develop relationships which can make a difference (e.g., with Corporate partners; local authorities etc);
- Submit, and help others to submit, grant applications;
- Seek out community fundraising opportunities;
- Explore high return fundraising events;
- Develop a portfolio of materials that support our fundraising efforts;

You do not have to do everything yourself - we have trustees and volunteers willing to help (with direction).
While we are posting this as an ongoing role, not at Board level, we are also open to candidates who would be interested in joining the Board either immediately or at a later date.
