WR Fundraising Recruitment has an exciting opportunity to join Bury Hospice

  • Bury Hospice - one of the area’s most supported charities is looking for a Fundraising Officer.

Engaging supporters, schools, clubs and businesses across the region, this is a wonderful role – nurturing engagement and ensuring the charity’s supporters are taken along an amazing supporter journey.

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Executive and work closely on achieving team success across income streams.

Role

  • Fundraiser
  • Full Time, Permanent
  • Bury with hybrid working
  • £28,500 – £32,640 per annum
  • Excellent benefits including 27 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
  • Drivers Licence & Own Vehicle Required - Expenses Reimbursed

Duties

  • Responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of fundraising / supporter relationships
  • Act as a key point of contact for supporters, providing excellent care, building strong relationships and helping people find the right way to support the hospice.
  • Research potential local and community fundraising and engagement opportunities
  • Work with local community groups to raise awareness of and support for the charity
  • Work with Marketing and Communications to promote fundraising opportunities
  • Represent the charity at external events

The Ideal Candidate

  • Fundraising experience working in one or more of the following income streams – Community, Corporate Partnerships, Individual Giving, Events.
  • Experience of building successful relationships with a variety of supporter groups
  • Ability to confidently communicate with the public, positively influence and persuade people to support your own ideas
  • Ability to work within and contribute effectively to a small team
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the area
