This is a full-time role that combines office-based work with time spent in the community, attending fundraising events and supporting our valued donors and volunteers. In return, you'll receive a competitive salary and become part of a passionate, high-achieving team.

Our charity raises almost £1m annually through a varied and dynamic portfolio of activities. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, hardworking, and flexible—ready to meet the challenge and play a key role in one of the region’s most successful Hospital charity's.

If you want to make a real difference to the lives of local patients and are keen to begin or develop a career in the charity sector—whether or not you have previous fundraising experience—we’d love to hear from you.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the Lancashire Teaching Hospital Charity team including Baby Beat to implement multi-year strategies to increase income and support for them across all areas of fundraising, ensuring donors and supporters receive appropriate stewardship, as well as providing retail administrative, charity administrative and finance support.
  • You will often be the first point of contact with donors, customers, volunteers, supporters, Trust staff and suppliers.
  • This post is predominately office-based working with the need to work in the community at fundraising events along with supporting and stewarding the charity’s supporters and donors.
  • You’ll need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and confident when working with the public, as you’ll sometimes represent the charity at community events.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and fast-paced charity environment, where your contribution will truly make a difference.
  • A car and driving license are essential for this post as the post holder will be required to drop off fundraising resources, meet with donors and fundraisers, support fundraising events and attend third party fundraising activities and functions across Lancashire.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
