Fundraising Co-ordinator

St Catherine’s Hospice | £26,000 FTE | Office based

Could you be the person who helps turn great fundraising ideas into brilliant supporter experiences?

At St Catherine’s Hospice, our supporters do some incredible things to raise money for local hospice care. From taking on challenges and organising their own events, to volunteering their time and finding new ways to get involved, every supporter deserves to feel welcomed, valued and part of our hospice community.

We’re looking for a Fundraising Co-ordinator to help us make that happen.

This is a varied role at the heart of our Fundraising Team. You’ll often be one of the first people our supporters speak to, giving them a warm welcome, helping them get their fundraising off the ground and making sure they have the information, encouragement and support they need, connecting them with our fundraising leads where appropriate.

At the same time, you’ll be the person helping to keep activity moving behind the scenes. You’ll support campaigns and projects, keep track of key actions and maintain accurate supporter records, helping us deliver well-organised fundraising and a great experience for our supporters.

What will you be doing?

No two days are likely to look exactly the same. You could be:

  • Welcoming a supporter to the hospice and helping them with everything they need for their fundraising.
  • Supporting people to organise their own events and activities.
  • Keeping track of plans, actions and important follow-ups.
  • Supporting fundraising campaigns and projects, helping to keep actions and activity on track.
  • Making sure our supporter information is accurately recorded on our CRM.
  • Helping us keep track of fundraising activity by maintaining accurate information and producing useful reports when needed.
  • Working with colleagues across Fundraising and Marketing to support fundraising activities organised by our supporters and community.
  • Coordinating and supporting volunteers, including helping with their recruitment and onboarding.
  • Arranging hospice representation at supporter events, cheque presentations and shows.
  • Helping us spot opportunities for supporters to get involved in other ways.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Most importantly, you’ll help make sure that the people who choose to support St Catherine’s have a fantastic experience with us and want to stay part of our community.

Who are we looking for?

You don’t necessarily need to have spent your career in fundraising. We’re looking for someone who is naturally organised, enjoys working with people and gets satisfaction from making things happen. You’ll be someone who can juggle different priorities without losing sight of the details. You’ll be a confident and adaptable communicator, comfortable working independently when needed but equally happy being part of a busy team. Experience of using a relationship database or CRM and supporting multiple projects is essential. Experience of working with volunteers, digital marketing or stewardship, fundraising regulation or building relationships with donors or customers would be an advantage.

Above all, we’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude who cares about giving people a great experience and shares our values of being Caring, Compassionate and Committed.

A role where being organised really makes a difference

This isn’t simply an administration role.

You’ll help create the experience our supporters have from the moment they get in touch, while helping to keep fundraising activity organised, supporter information up to date and campaigns and projects running smoothly.
