Fundraising & Donor Relations

Salary: £34k

We are looking for an ambitious and highly personable Fundraising & Donor Relations to grow the Foundation's fundraising network and build long-term relationships with donors, supporters, and the wider Gumball 3000 community.

Working closely with the Foundation Manager and Client Relations team, you will identify and develop relationships with philanthropists, entrepreneurs, family offices, corporate supporters, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.

A key part of the role will be understanding the people within our network — their interests, businesses, philanthropic priorities, and connections — and identifying meaningful ways for them to engage with and support the Foundation.

This role requires someone who combines excellent relationship-building skills with strong organisation, research, and follow-through. You should be naturally curious about people, confident in high-profile environments, and able to recognise opportunities that others may overlook.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & Relationship Development

  • Identify, research, and cultivate prospective major donors, philanthropists, family offices, trusts, and corporate supporters.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of fundraising opportunities.
  • Develop personalised approaches for prospective and existing supporters.
  • Secure financial support through donations, partnerships, campaigns, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and donor communications.
  • Develop supporters from initial introductions into meaningful, long-term relationships.
  • Identify grant and trust opportunities and coordinate applications where appropriate.
  • Support the development and delivery of annual fundraising campaigns and targets.
  • Work across Gumball 3000 events and rallies to maximise fundraising and relationship-building opportunities.

Client & Donor Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with existing and prospective supporters.
  • Work closely with Client Relations to better understand the Gumball 3000 community and identify potential Foundation supporters.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' interests, businesses, networks, and philanthropic activities.
  • Create personalised stewardship and engagement plans for key donors and supporters.
  • Coordinate donor communications, impact updates, and reporting.
  • Develop exclusive donor experiences and Foundation events.
  • Identify opportunities for introductions and collaborations across the Gumball network.
  • Represent the Foundation professionally at events, dinners, rallies, and other international activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
