Our fundraising events organisers have the exciting and varied role of helping plan and deliver local fundraising events to raise the vital funds needed to help cats.
What difference will you make?
As a Fundraising Events Organiser, you will play a key role in coordinating events and motivating and supporting local volunteers in raising those all-important funds. Cats in our care rely on generous donations from people who love cats and count on volunteers like you to make those donations happen. You will lead on a variety of fundraising events and activities raising much needed funds for cats in your area.
What are we looking for?
- Fundraising or events experience
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to prioritise and delegate
- Great people skills and the ability to bring out the best in others
- An appreciation of the importance of handling money and charity resources responsibly
- A passion for engaging with people within your local community
- Basic IT skills to use Cats Protection systems - training and support can be provided

What will you be doing?
As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising events organisers use their passion for cats and people to plan quiz nights, coffee mornings, clothes swaps, board game events, workplace fundraisers, murder mystery evenings, afternoon teas, and a whole lot in between. You'll inspire your community to come together and make a real difference for cats in need.

You'll be
- Planning and coordinating local fundraising activities and events
- Bringing fresh ideas to engage your community
- Working with fellow volunteers to make events a success
- Promoting Cats Protection positively and professionally
- Ensuring events follow relevant guidelines, licences and permits
- Recording and sharing fundraising totals with your volunteer team
- Receiving ongoing support from your local volunteer and Fundraising Team
