About The Role
What if you could turn your ideas into new ways for people to support Alzheimer’s Society?
As a Fundraising Innovation Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to explore new ideas, test what works and help shape the future of fundraising.
You’ll be part of our Events Team, working across the Income & Engagement Directorate. You’ll improve existing fundraising products and develop new ones from scratch, taking ideas from early thinking through to testing and launch.
No two projects will be quite the same. One day you could be running an idea generation workshop. The next, you might be testing a new concept with supporters or helping a team try a different way of working.
Do you enjoy asking, “What if we tried this?” You’ll use insight, feedback and testing to explore possibilities. You’ll learn from what you find and use it to make ideas better.
You’ll also have the chance to help others develop their innovation skills. You’ll share what you’ve learned, coach colleagues and help teams feel more confident trying new approaches.
Could this be the opportunity to bring your creativity, curiosity and problem-solving skills to work that could make a real difference?
What you’ll do
You’ll have plenty of opportunity to shape ideas and make them happen. You’ll:
- Lead projects to improve existing fundraising products and develop new ones from concept through to launch.
- Plan and facilitate idea generation workshops, creating space for people to explore new possibilities.
- Use insight, horizon scanning, supporter feedback and testing to understand what could work.
- Design and run tests and pilots, learning from the results and adapting ideas along the way.
- Manage projects, bringing together people from different teams and keeping activity moving towards launch.
- Share your learning and recommendations, helping others understand what worked and what could be done differently.
- Coach and support colleagues to use innovation techniques and more agile ways of working.

You’ll have a track record of working in an innovative way. You’ll enjoy exploring possibilities, testing ideas and learning from what happens.
Do you enjoy solving problems and finding a way forward when there isn’t an obvious answer?
You’ll be curious and creative, willing to challenge assumptions and look at things from different perspectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Dementia is the UK's biggest killer. One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime.
At Alzheimer's Society, we're the UK's leading dementia charity and the only one to tackle all aspects of dementia by giving help and hope to people living with dementia today and in the future. Together with our supporters, we're working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
Our values make sure that our focus is clear for the challenges and opportunities ahead and remind us of what we all stand for.
Our commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
