The Role
We're looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager / Bid Writer to manage a portfolio of client accounts and lead them through the grant journey, from being funder-ready and identifying the right opportunities to producing strong, competitive bids.
This is a client-facing role with real ownership. You won't write every application from scratch. Fundin's AI agents handle grant matching and first drafts, and you bring the expertise that wins funding. That means understanding each organisation, setting its funding strategy, quality-checking matches and turning drafts into compelling, well-positioned applications.
This role suits someone who enjoys building relationships, thinking strategically about funding, and is excited by how AI can multiply what a skilled bid writer can achieve.

- Manage a portfolio of charity and nonprofit client accounts.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on funding-related matters.
- Hold monthly strategy meetings with each client to agree priorities and next steps.
Funder Readiness & Project Development
- Assess organisations and projects to ensure they are funder-ready.
- Support clients to clarify outcomes, impact, budgets and evidence.
- Keep client profiles and campaigns on Fundin up to date so matching and drafting improve over time.
Grant Identification & Strategy
- Review and quality-check AI-generated grant matches, filtering weak fits and spotting missed opportunities.
- Advise clients on which funds to pursue and why.
- Plan and prioritise applications based on deadlines and likelihood of success.
Bid Review & Improvement
- Review, edit and improve AI-drafted funding applications.
- Ensure bids are clear, compelling, evidence-backed and aligned with funder criteria.
- Deliver finished applications to clients on time for them to submit.
Ongoing Client Support & Product Feedback
- Provide responsive, professional support throughout each client's funding journey.
- Track application outcomes across your portfolio.
- Feed back to our product team on where the AI agents can improve.
Person Specification
Essential

- Proven experience in bid writing, grant fundraising or funding consultancy.
- Strong written communication and editing skills, with the ability to shape persuasive narratives.
- Experience working directly with charity or nonprofit clients.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines and priorities.
- Confident, professional communicator with a client-focused mindset.
- Comfortable working with AI tools, or keen to learn.
Desirable
- Track record of successful grant applications.
- Experience across a range of funders (trusts, foundations, statutory or corporate).
- Tender or public-sector bid experience.
- Familiarity with CRMs, grant management tools or fundraising platforms.
