About Tetra Foundation

Tetra Foundation is a UK-based charity with a mission to transform Nigeria through maritime training. We provide scholarships that equip Nigerian youth with world-class vocational skills, enabling them to build international careers in the maritime industry. This initiative aims to transform not only individual lives but also the prospects of communities and the nation as a whole.

The Foundation was established by Union Maritime, one of the UK's largest shipowners. Since its inception in 2006, Union Maritime has grown into a leading global operator with significant operations in Nigeria. It also manages Goodwork Crewing, the largest private Nigerian crewing agent, employing over 1,000 Nigerian seafarers. This experience gives us unique insight into both the challenges and opportunities facing Nigeria's youth, forming the foundation for our transformational mission.

Role Definition: Fundraising Manager

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to develop and implement the Foundation's fundraising strategy, securing sustainable income to support programme delivery and long-term organisational growth.

You will work closely with Foundation leadership, Trustees, donors, corporate partners, and programme delivery partners to identify, cultivate and secure funding opportunities from trusts and foundations, corporations, philanthropists and major donors. A key aspect of the role will be creating and managing a robust fundraising pipeline, developing donor relationships, and establishing best-practice fundraising processes and reporting to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Foundation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
