Volunteer Fundraising Manager

About the Role

Volunteer Fundraising Manager needed for StraySafe Rescue. Lead campaigns, grow income, and support our work rescuing and rehoming cats. Flexible, Hybrid role with real impact. Experience essential, we value passion, ideas, and commitment to animal welfare.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is motivated by making a real difference and is excited by the opportunity to take ownership of fundraising activity within a growing, volunteer-led rescue. This role would suit an experienced individual who enjoys turning ideas into action and is comfortable working with a high level of autonomy.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Three or more years in fundraising, communications, donor engagement, or a related field.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple campaigns and projects.
    • Excellent communication skills for creating engaging content and building relationships.
    • Creativity to develop innovative fundraising strategies.
  • Desirable Experience:
    • Grant applications, donor stewardship, corporate partnerships, fundraising strategy, event planning, or digital fundraising.
    • Understanding of social media and online platforms.

What will you be doing?

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Planning and Delivery:
    • Develop monthly and seasonal appeals.
    • Coordinate online fundraising activities.
    • Support targeted campaigns such as emergency vet bill appeals or themed initiatives.
  • Income Opportunities:
    • Research and apply for grants.
    • Explore partnerships with local businesses.
    • Support community fundraising efforts.
  • Digital Fundraising:
    • Work with social media and website managers to ensure clear, consistent, and effective donation messaging.
    • Monitor performance and adapt future campaigns accordingly.
  • Key Deliverables:
    • Develop a simple but effective fundraising plan.
    • Roll out regular campaigns.
    • Maintain or increase monthly income levels.
    • Provide updates on funds raised, campaign performance, and opportunities identified.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and trustees.
  • Align fundraising activity with operational needs such as veterinary costs, foster capacity, or specific rescue cases.
