Fundraising Manager (Maternity Cover)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Location: Edinburgh or Glasgow (required travel to Edinburgh if Glasgow based)
We operate hybrid working with the opportunity to work from home some of the time. The role will also require travel between our office locations on a regular basis.
Working Hours: Full time, 35 hours, Monday to Friday (We will consider applicants seeking either 28 hours or up to 35 hours, depending on availability and suitability for the role.)
Salary: £38,480
Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover)
About the role
Working with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), the Fundraising Manager will support the delivery of Clan Childlaw’s fundraising strategy by identifying, researching, and writing compelling applications, to secure funding to continue Clan’s important work.
The post holder will manage Clan Childlaw’s existing pipeline of grants from Trusts and Foundations alongside the CEO and Deputy CEO, ensuring that proposals, applications and impact reports are completed within agreed timescales and will be responsible for researching and identifying new prospects. They will also identify new opportunities to grow the pipeline and develop and nurture relationships with funders.
About you
We are looking for an experienced and confident individual who can build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of people and use these relationships to support the organisation’s fundraising and wider objectives. You will have a proven track record of developing successful public sector bids and funding proposals, helping to achieve financial targets and secure significant multi-year grants and donations. You will also be comfortable working with data and information, using CRM systems effectively to maintain accurate records, analyse information and contribute to clear, outcome-focused reporting and performance monitoring. The role will involve working with and supporting others, so experience of people management, whether through line management or volunteer management, is essential. Alongside these skills, you will have a good understanding of confidentiality and GDPR, together with knowledge of the Code of Fundraising Practice, Gift Aid and other tax-effective giving mechanisms, ensuring that all fundraising activity is carried out effectively, accurately and in line with relevant requirements.
