Salary: £36,742–£40,823, depending on experience
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Location: Hybrid. Home-based with a minimum of one day per week at EMMS International’s Norton Park office in Edinburgh

Since 1841, EMMS has worked to improve health and healthcare for some of the world’s poorest and hardest-to-reach communities. Today, the charity works with partners across India, Malawi, Nepal, Rwanda, Scotland and Zambia.

EMMS has recently completed a full organisational review and restructure, including strengthening its fundraising leadership team. With a strong track record in institutional funding, healthy reserves and approximately £400,000 currently generated each year through grants, individual giving, campaigns and appeals, the organisation has significant ambition and opportunity for further income growth.

We are now looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager to help deliver that next phase.
Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the Fundraising Manager will play a key role in growing EMMS International’s voluntary income.
The role will lead activity across individual giving, community fundraising, supporter stewardship and challenge events, while helping develop effective supporter journeys that increase retention and long-term value.
We are looking for someone who combines strong fundraising experience with excellent organisation, relationship-building and attention to detail.
You will have:
- At least three years’ charity fundraising experience
- A strong track record of coordinating fundraising initiatives and generating income
- Experience building and maintaining supporter relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines
- An analytical approach and the ability to draw useful insight from supporter data
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Experience using Raiser’s Edge NXT and Mailchimp
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small team

A degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
Location and Travel
The successful candidate must live in Scotland.
The role requires a minimum of one day per week at EMMS International’s Norton Park office in Edinburgh, alongside regular face-to-face team meetings. There will also be occasional travel to fundraising and awareness-raising events elsewhere in the UK and occasional evening or weekend working. International travel may occasionally be required.
