- To stop preventable epilepsy deaths and
- To be the flagship charity for epilepsy-bereavement support.
We ensure people with epilepsy can live safely and well, and fight for change with our dedicated communities of supporters. By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved by epilepsy, we learn from deaths, and use research, policy, and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives.
We provide world-leading advocacy and support to people devastated by an epilepsy death, and empower them to contribute to the work needed to prevent deaths. We also work with experts and organizations worldwide to provide free, award-winning resources and information on epilepsy risks.
Our supporters and volunteers are our heart – helping us raise awareness, funds, and sharing their powerful personal experiences to drive our work forward.
Our fundraising and our dedicated supporters who raise funds in our name, and often in memory of their loved one are central to our mission — without them, we couldn’t drive forward with our mission to see a future where there are no preventable epilepsy deaths.

As we continue to grow and diversify our income streams, we are seeking an ambitious, experienced, and relationship-driven Fundraising Manager to play a pivotal role in securing sustainable income and strengthening our long-term fundraising strategy.
This is not a standard fundraising manager role. It is a unique opportunity to lead and shape an ambitious programme of work that will change perceptions, inspire new audiences to engage with an often-overlooked cause, and build the long-term support needed for SUDEP Action to continue to drive meaningful and lasting impact.

The role This is an exciting opportunity for a senior fundraising professional who combines strategic thinking with excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for making a tangible difference.
The Fundraising Manager will lead on the development and growth of several key income streams, including:
- Major Donors
- Corporate Partnerships and Giving
- Regular Giving
- Gifts in Wills (Legacies)
Working in close partnership with SUDEP Action's other Fundraising Manager (who oversees Community fundraising, Trusts and Grants and other aspects of our in-memory giving), the postholder will also share responsibility for the development, delivery, and performance of wider fundraising activity across the charity.

A significant aspect of this role will involve re-engaging existing high-value supporters while identifying and cultivating new prospects. The ideal candidate will be confident networking, opening doors, building meaningful relationships, and inspiring people to support a cause that may be unfamiliar to them.
The postholder will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, including the fundraising colleagues, the CEO, and wider management team, drawing upon their expertise to develop effective fundraising plans, test assumptions, and ensure the charity is represented professionally, authentically, and consistently.
Given the nature of SUDEP Action's work, the role also requires sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to engage thoughtfully with people affected by epilepsy and bereavement.
