Fundraising Officer

5 days per week (37.5 Hours) Worked between Monday- Friday
Salary:
Grade 5 - £27,449 - £29,686 (5% employer pension contribution, Medicash and group life assurance, 27 days annual leave per annum for FTE plus bank holidays)
Location:
Contractually based from our Manchester or Liverpool Office, with some flexibility to work from home, subject to business requirements and line manager approval. Regular travel to programmes in the North West and occasional travel to other areas, as required.
Role Summary
Working as part of a small but ambitious team to support the fundraising for Right to Succeed, a fast-growing national charity, working to deliver place-based and educational change in the most disadvantaged communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality administrative support
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Fundraising Team, including: diary management, scheduling meetings, creating agendas, taking minutes, coordinating logistics, preparing briefing materials and ensuring relevant information and actions are organised and followed up.
- Supporting general department administration to ensure the smooth running of the fundraising function.
- Maintaining responsibility for the accurate and timely management of application and reporting trackers, ensuring all key deadlines, submission dates and reporting requirements are recorded and kept up to date across calendars and the CRM. This includes regularly reviewing upcoming deadlines, updating records as applications progress, and making sure the wider team has clear visibility of priorities, actions and upcoming requirements.
- Leading on the administrative support of our Individual Giving funding stream.
- Working collaboratively with other departments, such as Programmes, Finance, and Communications, to ensure the effective flow of information needed to support the day-to-day running of the fundraising function.
- Contributing to the management of the internal database (CRM) to ensure that all funder activities and engagement are captured.
- Managing the fundraising email inbox, ensuring enquiries are directed to the appropriate colleagues and responded to promptly and professionally.
- Supporting the arrangement of funder events, including ‘Frontline’ visits for funders, roundtable events and other external-facing events in the calendar.

Undertake in-depth prospect donor research
- Researching potential funders for Right to Succeed using funder databases, online searches, sector information and Meet the Funder events, and recording relevant funding opportunities and information to support the wider fundraising team.
- Maintaining accurate research records across HubSpot, our CRM, and the fundraising research tracker, including updating research prospects, recording warm connections and relevant relationship information, and capturing actions and key notes from research meetings.
- Creating research briefings on funders of potential interest to Right to Succeed and storing them in the relevant folders/area of our CRM database.
- Sharing findings of funder research to the Fundraising team to support decisions on next steps in approaching the funder(s).

Work collaboratively on funding applications and reporting
- Preparing and coordinating supporting documents, budgets and attachments for grant applications and reports, ensuring all materials are accurate, complete and ready for submission.
- Taking administrative responsibility for funder portals, including setting up applications and reports, uploading documents and information, monitoring completion, and checking all submission requirements and deadlines are met.
