We are seeking a trustee with significant fundraising experience to lead our fundraising efforts to secure long-term financial security to achieve our mission
What difference will you make?
As a Fundraising Trustee, you will play a vital role in helping us fulfil the charity's aims by ensuring we are financially stable and continue to benefit the communities we serve.
What are we looking for?
As a charity that focuses on the sexual & reproductive health (SRH) rights and experiences of people of colour (PoC) and other minoritised individuals, we are looking for trustees who have lived experience of discrimination.
Skills and Qualities
- Significant knowledge of the non-profit funding landscape
- Experience in fundraising and grant application writing
- The ability to influence others using excellent communication skills
- A capacity for critical thinking and using reason and evidence to make an informed judgement
- The ability to build and maintain relationships
- The resolve to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- The ability to meet financial targets
- Good organisation and project management skills
- The ability to motivate others and work as part of a team
- Resilience, particularly when faced with setbacks
- An understanding of confidentiality and the rules around the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how this will apply in the context of fundraising
- IT skills, with additional knowledge of social media, content writing, and website development
- A willingness to carry out a range of administrative tasks.

What will you be doing?
This year, we're undertaking an organisational refresh involving co-creation to help shape our next chapter, with minimum requirements to attend monthly meetings, quarterly board meetings, and a strategy day. For this reason, we are looking for applicants to commit to a full-day (Saturday) strategy meeting in November, facilitated by an organisational health consultant.

As Fundraising Trustee, you will help us strengthen the organisation’s fundraising capacity by reviewing our fundraising strategy, supporting staff with grant writing and running the fundraising subcommittee.
You will be expected to build a collaborative working relationship with staff, freelancers and volunteers, rooted in proactive communication and committed to conflict resolution principles. This is a unique opportunity to help to shape the future of our charity and make a lasting impact on the community we serve.
