Funds Tax Specialist | Private Funds | Tax Advisory & Operations | London

A leading professional services team is looking to appoint a Funds Tax Specialist to support a growing international client base of private equity, private credit and alternative investment fund managers.

This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical tax advisory work with practical client solutions. The role offers exposure to a broad range of fund-related tax matters, working closely with investment managers, investors, service providers and legal advisers across multiple jurisdictions.

The Opportunity

You will join a highly regarded team providing outsourced tax management and strategic tax support to private fund clients. Acting as a trusted adviser, you will help clients navigate the increasingly complex tax and reporting obligations that arise throughout a fund's lifecycle.

The role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work on a wide range of cross-border tax matters, including fund launches, investor onboarding, tax compliance, reporting and transaction support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing tax reporting and compliance processes for private fund clients, including FATCA, CRS and other regulatory filings
  • Coordinating fund establishment and onboarding projects, including tax registrations, tax identification requirements and withholding tax processes
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, custodians, administrators, investors and other stakeholders
  • Advising on the tax implications of fund transactions and strategic initiatives
  • Reviewing tax provisions within investor side letters and related legal documentation
  • Supporting private equity and credit fund managers on operational and transactional tax matters
  • Conducting technical tax research and preparing client-facing analysis and recommendations
  • Assisting founders, partners and senior executives with personal tax and remuneration-related matters
  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments impacting asset managers and investment funds
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
