Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Funeral Director role based at our head office in Croydon. The Funeral Arranger will meet with families to arrange and coordinate funeral services, providing guidance, empathy, and practical support throughout the process.

Responsibilities include planning service details, managing transportation and logistics, overseeing preparation of the deceased, and ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met. The role involves liaising with clergy, celebrants, cemeteries, crematoria, and other service providers, as well as organising documentation, scheduling, and administrative tasks while offering and tailoring the full range of services we provide. The Funeral Arranger will help maintain the funeral home’s professional standards, support colleagues as needed, and contribute to the delivery of dignified, respectful services.
Qualifications
- Experience in funeral homes and funeral service operations, including coordinating ceremonies and logistics.
- Skills in embalming or other preparation of the deceased, with attention to detail and respect for cultural and religious practices.
- Strong family services skills, including providing emotional support, guidance, and clear information to bereaved families.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting sensitively with families, colleagues, and external partners.
- Relevant funeral service qualifications or certifications, or willingness to undertake professional training.
- Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and health and safety requirements relating to funerals and memorial services.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as service needs require.
- Organizational and administrative skills, with proficiency in basic office software and record-keeping.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential and sensitive information.
