Arnold Funeral Service is a family-owned and managed business with branches in High Wycombe, Flackwell Heath, Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield, Marlow, and Farnham Common. With our experience spanning six generations, it is our aim to provide a caring service at a difficult time.
About the Role
We are looking to hire a professional and empathetic individual to join our team as a Funeral Operative who is committed to making a difference to the clients we help.
Main Duties
- The driving of company vehicles and ensuring their cleanliness at all times
- Conveying the deceased into our care
- Care of the deceased within our premises
- Participating in funeral services as pallbearer or chauffeur
- On Call (out of hours) rota (one week every four to five weeks)
- Attend sudden deaths on behalf of HM Coroners

Requirements
- Be presentable and punctual
- Have a good level of physical fitness as this role does involve heavy lifting duties
- Be able to work to strict deadlines
- Have a good attention to detail
- Have a full manual UK driving licence

Basic full-time working hours will be 40 hours a week working 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday based at our Flackwell Heath Head Office. A degree of flexibility on these hours will be required but will be remunerated.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum offered based on experience and qualifications + on-call ancillary payments
- 20 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays increasing after 2 years’ service
