Junior Furniture / Technical Designer

UK-based only; must have the right to work in the UK

6 Month Contract | Full Time | Office Based

There is a strong possibility that this role could lead to a full-time contract beyond 6 months, but the client does not want to make any promises just yet.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Furniture / Technical Designer to join an established UK furniture manufacturer specialising in workplace and commercial furniture.

Working closely with architects, interior designers and furniture dealerships, the business delivers both standard and bespoke furniture solutions for a wide variety of commercial interior projects.

Projects often begin with an initial client brief before progressing through concept development, costing, visualisation, technical design and ultimately manufacture. As part of the design team, you will get exposure to the full process and see the products and furniture you work on progress from an initial idea through to finished installation.

This would suit a junior designer with good technical ability who is looking to develop their experience within furniture, product design or commercial interiors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
