Job Description
The Furniture Porter will support the operation and development of Transform Community Development's furniture programme, Transform Furniture, by collecting, sorting, storing, and delivering new and donated furniture and household items.
Main Duties
- Assist with the efficient day-to-day running of the service
- Deliver and collect furniture from customers, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Maintain high standards of safety and professionalism
- Help maintain equipment and vehicles to an operational standard.
- Organise the warehouse, including loading and unloading vans.
- Contribute to the programme's aim of supplying affordable furniture and household goods to individuals and families within the community.
- Follow all organisational policies and procedures.

Administrative duties
- Ensure all delivery & collection paperwork and procedures are followed, maintained, and logged.
Training
- To participate in training, supervision, and appraisal where appropriate.
- To consult with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager regarding training needs.
General
- To build constructive and realistic relationships with stakeholders and staff team, participating in the key work system.
- To undertake any other duties deemed necessary by the Warehouse & Logistics Manager Worker.
