Job Description
Interior Icons | Remote UK + regular London team days | £50,000–£65,000 DOE + uncapped performance bonus | Full-time | Reports to the Founder
About us
Interior Icons sells designer-inspired furniture to customers across the USA. We are a small, founder-led online business focused on one market and one paid acquisition channel. Our mission is to make iconic design accessible to everyone.
We sell replica furniture, proudly. If that is not for you, this role is not for you.
The role
You will own new products end to end: identifying furniture designs with commercial potential, testing demand, creating the online presentation, working with manufacturers and taking winning products through to their first stock order.
This is a high-output commercial product role. A typical New Product Manager may test around 10 new product ideas per week and take approximately 2 successful products through to live launch.
You are the first stage of how this company grows.
This role can be performed remotely within the UK. You must be available during normal UK working hours and able to travel to our West London office for onboarding and regular product/team days.
What you'll do
- Research iconic, proven and trending furniture designs and build a pipeline of launch candidates
- Decide which products are worth testing using a combination of market evidence, commercial judgement and furniture knowledge
- Create product and lifestyle imagery using AI tools
- Set up new products across our online store and advertising, and act quickly on how they perform
- Work directly with factories and suppliers: obtain quotes, challenge costs and negotiate where needed
- Run product development with our external technical team where required; place stock orders for off-the-shelf products
- Set products up accurately in our systems and track every stage in our task-management tools
- Follow our documented step-by-step processes and improve them when you find a better way

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Consistently identifying and launching more winning products
- Moving quickly from idea → test → winner → stock

Your bonus is tied to the performance of the products you launch, with no ceiling. Full scheme terms are set out in writing as company policy and shared at offer stage.

- Comfortable using sales, customer, competitor and market data to make product decisions
- Experience working directly with manufacturers or suppliers
- Happy to work as a hands-on individual contributor with no direct reports
- Highly organised and precise: you finish checklists, hit dates and don't drop details

- A quick learner who is comfortable adopting new digital tools
- Comfortable with digitally measured productivity; we use ActivTrak

Nice to have
- Furniture product development, buying or merchandising as a primary role
- Experience with Asian furniture manufacturers
- Furniture manufacturing or technical knowledge: materials, construction, tech packs
- Knowledge of the US furniture market
- Experience in a founder-led or small business
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, online advertising or AI image tools
How we work
- Keep it simple. Do less, but better.
- Inspiration over invention. We start with proven designs rather than designing for novelty.
- Data over opinions. The test decides, not taste.
- Process over improvisation. Every process is written down; every task is tracked.
- Lean. Opex doesn't scale with revenue.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports. It is the right role for someone who wants to build a product machine, not manage one yet.
As the product team grows, there will be opportunities to progress into product leadership.
