UPHOLSTERER DURHAM £15.00 TO £16.00 PER HOUR

What is on offer:

  • £15.00 to £16.00 per hour, rising to £17.00 per hour with full experience.
  • Two vacancies available with flexible start dates.

About The Role

An established furniture manufacturing business in Durham is looking to recruit two experienced Upholsterers on a full-time, permanent basis. With an hourly rate of £15.00 to £16.00 per hour rising to £17.00 for the right candidate, this is a solid opportunity for a skilled upholsterer looking for stability and competitive pay in the North East.

Both positions are workshop-based in Durham, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with no weekend working required.

What the Upholsterer role involves:

  • Producing upholstered furniture to specification in a busy production workshop.
  • Working across fabric, foam, springs, frames, and a variety of upholstery materials.
  • Meeting daily and weekly production targets while maintaining a quality finish.
  • Working as part of a close-knit and experienced workshop team.

Furniture Upholsterer - What we are looking for in an Upholsterer:

  • Hands-on upholstery experience in a workshop, production, or self-employed capacity.
  • Ability to work across different upholstery styles and materials.
  • A reliable, hardworking approach and good attention to detail.
  • City and Guilds qualification or time-served trade experience is beneficial but not essential; practical skill is what counts.
