🚐 Van Driver / Furniture Delivery Driver

£13.00 per hour PAYE + overtime at £17.33 per hour

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently looking for reliable and hardworking Van Drivers / Furniture Delivery Drivers to join our client’s delivery team.

The role involves delivering flat-pack furniture directly to customers’ homes, working alongside a dedicated 2nd Man to ensure deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving a company van to deliver furniture to residential addresses.
  • Working alongside a 2nd Man to load, unload and deliver items into customers’ homes.
  • Providing excellent customer service at every delivery.
  • Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and keeping the vehicle clean and roadworthy.
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
  • Previous van driving or delivery experience.
  • Good geographical knowledge and confidence using navigation systems.
  • Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting on a daily basis.
  • Positive attitude with good customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.

Working Pattern

You Will Work One Of The Following Schedules

  • Sunday to Wednesday
  • Wednesday to Saturday

Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm

A 1-hour unpaid lunch break is provided each working day.

Overtime is paid after 10 hours worked.
