About The Role
Working alongside our School Medical Officer, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the School Medical Office. We are looking for an organised sympathetic individual to assist with the provision of a comprehensive medical and welfare service to the school, including providing of first aid and medical support to individual students.
You Will Also
- Deliver care within the boundaries of the role, focusing on student well-being and health education.
- Assist with the management of the medical room on a day-to-day basis, in accordance with the First Aid Policy
- Administer First Aid and medical provision to students and staff as necessary
- Log visits by students and staff including any treatment and follow up treatment
- Assist with the organisation of immunisations
- Assist with provision and maintenance of all school first aid kits, including those for trips and visits
- Liaise with parents on issues related to medicines, including those for use on school trips and residentials
- Maintain stock and a clean clutter free medical room
- Assist with Front Office on occasions where necessary

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people.
You will be a team player who can communicate sensitively and confidently with students, colleagues and parents/carers. You will also be able to use your own initiative and have strong organisational and time-management skills.
Experience of working with children or young people in a school setting would be an advantage, particularly experience or knowledge of a school medical office.
Working Pattern
Part-time, up to 25 hours per week over five days. Ideal hours 9.30am - 2.30pm.
