Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people. You will be a team player who can communicate sensitively and confidently with students and colleagues. You will also be able to use your own initiative and have strong organisational and time-management skills. We are looking for a fully qualified, enthusiastic and motivational teacher of Geography to join our Geography Department at Furze Platt. We are a highly cohesive and well-resourced department, teaching the WJEC Spec. at KS4 and Edexcel Spec. at KS5. The teaching and learning within the department incorporates many of the synoptic elements of Geography, with students developing a depth and breadth of knowledge to provide a geographical base of understanding for later life. Candidates will have opportunity for future progression within the department. We offer various enrichment and real world learning experiences for our students, including international field trips, local area studies and academic conferences.

We are looking for either a full-time or part time to 0.8FTE to start January 2027. A TLR may be available for the right candidate - this may not necessarily be subject based.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
