About The Role

Responsible for leading the Business Unit's AI capability agenda, ensuring BT Business develops the workforce skills required to realise the full value of Artificial Intelligence. With responsibility for shaping AI learning, adoption and workforce readiness across 14,000 colleagues, this role will create the learning ecosystem, capability pathways and cultural interventions needed to embed AI into everyday ways of working.

By connecting business strategy, workforce transformation and emerging AI technologies, the role will ensure colleagues are equipped not only to use AI tools effectively, but also to lead, manage and collaborate within increasingly AI-enabled and agentic operating models.

Success will be measured through increased AI adoption, improved productivity, capability growth, workforce resilience and the creation of sustainable competitive advantage through people, skills and organisational capability.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own and continuously evolve the learning and skills strategy for emerging digital and AI-enabled capabilities, ensuring alignment with business priorities, workforce plans and future role requirements.
  • Translate strategic capability needs into practical curricula, learning pathways and targeted interventions that build proficiency, confidence and adoption across priority audiences.
  • Design and deploy learning interventions that enable responsible, productive and value-driven use of new technologies, supported by communities of practice, peer learning and practical use-case sharing.
  • Lead the design, mobilisation and delivery of specialist capability programmes, including audience targeting, cohort planning, partner coordination, facilitation quality and the practical application of learning in day-to-day work.
  • Shape structured skills pathways for current and future talent, working with internal teams and external partners to build sustainable capability pipelines and maximise development investment.
  • Partner with business, people, digital and transformation teams to support capability pilots, new ways of working and the development of effective human-technology collaboration models.
  • Commission, manage and transition coaching and enablement support where required, ensuring pilots and early interventions become sustainable business-as-usual approaches.
  • Create opportunities that connect early careers talent, subject matter experts and senior leaders to foster practical AI fluency, knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.
  • Design deliberate practice interventions that preserve critical thinking, professional judgement and problem-solving capability as AI adoption increases, using analytics to identify and respond to potential skill degradation risks.
  • Develop manager toolkits and performance support resources that promote responsible AI use, quality assurance and effective human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop practices, while reducing inappropriate reliance on AI-generated outputs.
  • Establish a framework for measuring AI learning impact, including adoption, proficiency, productivity, confidence, capability progression, ROI and business outcomes, using insights to shape future priorities and investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships across the business, P&C, Group AI, digital, service teams, early careers programmes and external providers, bringing market insight, constructive challenge and scalable delivery into the learning agenda.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
