Job Title: Future Integrated Operational Support Solution Lead

Location: Andover, Hampshire + Hybrid Working Arrangements
Compensation: Competitive + Benefits
Role Type: Full time / Permanent
Role ID: SF75726

Help Shape the Future of Defence Support

At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Future Integrated Operational Support Solution Lead at our Andover site.

The Role

As a Future Integrated Operational Support Solution Lead, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping how the next generation of defence platforms are supported throughout their operational life. This is a rare opportunity to influence future land defence capabilities before they enter service, designing innovative support, maintenance and operating models that ensure critical military assets remain effective, sustainable and mission ready.

Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

  • Designing future-state operating models covering organisational structures, governance, processes, responsibilities and commercial frameworks.
  • Developing integrated support solutions that align future defence capabilities with wider organisational and customer strategies.
  • Defining integration approaches that connect support models with operational readiness and support services.
  • Conducting capability assessments and gap analysis to support future defence solution development.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to shape supportability requirements for emerging defence programmes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
