The Future of Work Alliance Coordinator
The Future of Work Alliance Coordinator will provide high quality administrative and coordination support for the BNY Future of Work Alliance, a strategic alliance between BNY and The University of Manchester focused on the future of work, responsible AI, leadership, talent development and research. The role will support the Programme Manager – Future of Work Alliance in the effective day-to-day administration of the alliance by maintaining clear records, coordinating meetings, supporting governance processes, tracking actions, organising documentation, liaising with Bank of New York staff and supporting administrative delivery across multiple workstreams and teams. The postholder will use digital and AI-enabled tools to support efficient administration, governance, stakeholder liaison and administrative coordination across the Future of Work.
Some of the things you might find yourself doing include:
- Providing administrative support for the BNY Future of Work Alliance, ensuring that meetings, records, documents and follow-up actions are managed efficiently.
- Supporting formal governance processes, including the Alliance Steering Committee, Executive Board and relevant workstream meetings, through agenda preparation, meeting administration, note taking, action tracking and record management.
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service. Support the delivery and evaluation of measurable plans, events, projects and initiatives in pursuit of the university’s ambitions and objectives.
- Supporting partnership workstreams including the Challenge Program, postgraduate internships, executive education, research activity, scholarships, keynote lectures, events and visibility activity.
- Supporting the adoption of AI-enabled administrative practices to improve administrative efficiency such as document preparation, scheduling, approvals, action tracking, information retrieval and reporting.
- Providing administrative support for partnership events, workshops, visits, keynote lectures, student engagement activity and senior stakeholder meetings, including logistics, attendee information, briefing materials and follow-up actions.
- Supporting routine financial and process administration, including purchase requests, invoice tracking, budget records and liaison with finance colleagues where required.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately and in line with data protection, information security and partnership requirements.

What You’ll Bring:
- Educated to A-Level/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) with relevant experience in project, programme, governance or professional services administration.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate complex activities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of providing clear advice, guidance and support to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience supporting governance processes, committees, boards, steering groups or partnership forums, with excellent attention to detail and record management.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Word and Excel) and keen to leverage digital and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency.
- Collaborative and proactive, with strong relationship-building, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills, and an interest in innovation, skills, talent development and university-industry partnerships.
