Overview
We are working with a leading global investment bank looking to hire an Electronic FX (eFX) Execution Trader to join its growing electronic trading platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing FX risk, optimizing execution performance, analyzing client flow, and driving the commercial growth of the eFX franchise. This role sits at the intersection of Trading, Quantitative Research and Technology.
Responsibilities
- Trade and manage risk across FX Spot, NDFs, Futures, Forwards and Swaps, maintaining a strong understanding of market conditions, liquidity dynamics and client flow.
- Act as a book runner, actively managing inventory risk, responding to market movements and executing efficiently across electronic FX markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, liquidity providers and internal stakeholders to support commercial growth and client engagement.
- Analyze and monitor eFX performance through:
- P&L decomposition
- Historical and real-time volume analysis
- Market impact assessment
- Flow behaviour analysis
- Market microstructure research
- Drive the monetization of the eFX franchise while balancing client, risk and volume constraints.
- Work closely with Quantitative Research teams to enhance pricing models, execution algorithms and trading strategies.
- Develop Python-based tools to improve post-trade analytics, workflow automation and trading insights.
- Support electronic trading infrastructure, system configuration and operational enhancements in partnership with Technology teams.
- Collaborate with global trading desks and contribute to the overall performance of the franchise.

- Experience in eFX Trading, FX Execution Trading, Algorithmic FX Trading or Electronic Market Making.
- Strong knowledge of FX Spot, NDFs, Swaps, Forwards and Futures markets.
- Understanding of market microstructure, liquidity management and electronic execution.
- Experience managing risk and running a trading book.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Proficiency in Python and experience working with large trading datasets.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Trading, Quant and Technology teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
