FX Artist – Water Simulation | UK 🇬🇧

Midas VFX is looking for an experienced FX Artist specialising in water and fluid simulation to join our UK team.

The Role

Working closely with our FX, CG and VFX Supervisors, you'll create high-quality water FX for feature film and high-end episodic projects, including:

  • Oceans, seas and large-scale water
  • Waves, wakes and object interaction
  • Splashes, spray, foam and whitewater
  • Rivers, flooding and flowing water
  • Secondary particle and atmospheric FX

What We Need

  • Strong Houdini experience
  • Excellent FLIP / fluid simulation skills
  • Strong understanding of particles, forces and procedural workflows
  • An eye for realistic scale, motion and detail
  • Feature film or high-end episodic VFX experience
  • Ability to optimise complex, computationally heavy simulations
