We're building out the sales team at a London-based energy and environmental commodities trade house, and we're deliberately casting wide on background.

If you've spent the last few years selling FX and you're comfortable on the phones, chasing leads and building client relationships from scratch, this is worth a look. You don't need to know carbon markets day one, the training and product knowledge is there. What they want is the hunger and the commercial instinct.

If you're already in energy or commodity sales: carbon, power, gas, agricultural products and you know the European market, that's equally interesting. Ideally you'd bring some client relationships with you and be ready to own a region.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The team is lean and growing with intent. If you're the type who wants a desk, a region and the room to run with it, rather than a large institutional structure to hide behind this is a credible next step.
