Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced FX Pricing Developer / C# Developer to join a leading Global Markets technology team based in London. This is a replacement hire within a high-performing FX technology function responsible for the development and support of critical Front Office trading platforms.

The successful candidate will work across FX Deal Capture, Pricing & Risk Batch Processing, and Distributed/Grid Computing platforms, delivering both business-as-usual enhancements and strategic project work. This role offers significant exposure to quantitative development teams, traders, and other key stakeholders across the FX business.

This is a hands-on engineering position suited to a strong software developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges within large-scale distributed environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain high-performance applications supporting FX pricing, risk and deal capture platforms.
  • Deliver enhancements and new functionality across Front Office FX technology systems.
  • Support and improve pricing and risk batch processing frameworks.
  • Develop services and components that integrate into larger distributed technology platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with quantitative developers, technology teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to platform stability and performance improvements.
  • Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment and support.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, and capable of supporting high-volume processing workloads.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and drive delivery of complex development initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial development experience with C# and .NET.
  • Proven track record delivering on large-scale, complex technology projects.
  • Experience working within distributed or grid computing environments.
  • Strong understanding of component-based and service-oriented application development.
  • Hands-on software engineering background with a passion for coding and delivery.
  • Full SDLC experience across design, development, testing, and production support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to C++ development.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Financial markets experience, particularly within Capital Markets or Global Markets environments.
  • Knowledge of pricing, risk, or analytics platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with quantitative development teams.
  • Understanding of Front Office trading systems or market data platforms.
