🚨 New Role – FX Trading / EM Markets 🚨

FX Trader / Multi-Asset Trading Associate (Emerging Markets)

🌍 Early-stage fintech | 🌐 Cross-border payments (Africa / EM)

📍 Remote (UK / Europe timezone)

🕒 Full-time

👇 DM me for details

We’re partnering with a high-growth fintech building a next-generation cross-border payments platform across Africa to hire an FX Trader / Multi-Asset Trading Associate. This is not a conventional trading seat.

You won’t be staring at tight spreads on a screen — you’ll be working in opaque, relationship-driven markets, sourcing liquidity, pricing risk, and building a live view of fragmented FX corridors.

You’ll join a lean team (hire #2 on the desk), with real ownership from day one, working directly with the Head of Trading.

💡 What makes this different

  • EM / frontier markets — not G10, not commoditised
  • Liquidity is relationship-driven — you source it, not click it
  • Wide spreads, capital controls, imperfect data — real trading judgement required
  • Blend of trading (~70%), analytics, and counterparty management
  • Opportunity to build network, pricing capability, and desk infrastructure from scratch

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

🧩 What you’ll be doing

  • Execute FX spot, forwards, and swaps across EM corridors (Africa + beyond)
  • Source liquidity directly from LPs — calls, chats, relationships
  • Build and maintain a live view of fair value across fragmented markets
  • Turn flow + LP behaviour into actionable pricing/market insight
  • Support reconciliations and post-trade processes (front-to-back ownership)
  • Contribute to building out a broader multi-asset trading capability (FI / money markets over time)

✅ What they’re looking for

  • Experience trading emerging market FX (Africa ideal, not essential)
  • Strong quantitative mindset — comfortable with numbers, pricing, and analytics
  • Experience in FX trading, sales trading, or liquidity provision
  • Ability to operate in imperfect, off-screen markets
  • Some exposure to multiple asset classes (FX + fixed income / money markets a plus)
  • Relationship-driven — able to build and work a counterparty network
  • Hands-on, self-sufficient — this is a small team, high ownership role
