Galvanizing Operatives – Premier Galvanizing Corby

Part of the Joseph Ash Group | A Hill & Smith Company

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Position: Full-time
Shifts: Rotational Day Shift 6am to 2.30pm and 1pm to 9.30pm
Pay: £14.99 per hour + £55 per week Shift Allowance + Monthly Tonnage Bonus + Annual Bonus

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Involved in every step of the galvanizing journey - helping to protect steel products used across the UK and beyond.
  • Preparing and securing steel products to jigs for galvanizing
  • Operating overhead cranes (training provided)
  • Dipping steel into molten zinc to protect against corrosion
  • Finishing and inspecting products for top-quality standards
  • Ensuring your work area remains clean, organised, and safe

Whether you're in the jigging area, working at the galvanizing baths, or finishing in the fettling bay, you’ll be part of a crucial process that keeps the UK’s infrastructure strong and rust-free.

What We're Looking For:

We’re looking for positive, hands-on team players who aren’t afraid of a bit of heavy lifting and who enjoy getting stuck in.

  • A strong work ethic and “can-do” attitude
  • Willingness to work in a manual, physical environment
  • Team spirit and good communication skills
  • Reliability and a focus on safety
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or galvanizing is a plus – but not essential

Full training is provided – all we ask for is your energy, commitment, and drive to learn.
