Job Description:
This is a role within the Castrol organisation and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence. If you are part of the ring-fence, it is expected that your employment will move with Castrol to new ownership.
As the GAM Key Account Manager for Europe, the role leads the development and delivery of Castrol’s Global Account strategy across the region. It carries responsibility for meeting business goals, activating global agreements and maintaining strong commercial performance across European markets.
The position blends strategic direction with day-to-day commercial management. It oversees key account plans, coordinates major sales and marketing activity and works closely with country teams to ensure consistent execution. It also contributes to capability building through coaching and support for local account managers. The scope of the role, including financial ownership, regional reach and leadership expectations, determines the grade.
Key Accountabilities
The role:
- Shapes and delivers long-term account strategies aligned with Castrol’s Lubricants Growth Strategy.
- Leads the activation of global agreements across Europe and ensures alignment between central and country teams.
- Maintains senior relationships across customer organisations and internal stakeholders.
- Identifies customer needs and develops clear, relevant value propositions.
- Sets annual sales objectives, tracks performance and takes action to meet agreed financial measures.
- Oversees aftermarket activity including genuine oil programmes, pricing and portfolio discussions.
- Supports National KAMs and country teams through coaching, guidance and joint customer engagement.
- Acts as the escalation point for complex customer issues.
- Ensures HSSEQ and ethical standards are met in all account activity.

Job Requirements
Education
- University degree preferred
- Fluent English
Experience & Capabilities
- Background in senior account management with complex customers
- Strong commercial negotiation capability
- Knowledge of the automotive sector and aftermarket dynamics
- Lubricants experience beneficial
- Experience developing or supporting sales teams
- Ability to convert technical information into clear commercial outcomes
