This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Game Discovery Producer based in the United Kingdom.
About the Role
As a Game Discovery Producer, you will help identify and evaluate promising ideas for new mobile games and turn the strongest concepts into clear opportunities for testing and development. You will work at the intersection of game discovery, product analysis, market research, and AI-powered tools. The role combines creative judgment with data-driven decision-making to understand why games succeed and where new opportunities may exist. You will continuously test hypotheses, compare predictions with real-world results, and improve the frameworks used to evaluate concepts. Your work will directly influence which ideas move forward and how future products are shaped. You will also contribute to the evolution of internal AI tools and processes that make game discovery more efficient and effective.
Accountabilities
- Own the discovery and evaluation process for mobile game concepts, combining market knowledge, gameplay expertise, analytical thinking, and AI-enabled workflows to identify opportunities with strong potential.
- Research the mobile gaming market to identify promising games, mechanics, trends, and product opportunities.
- Work with internal AI-powered systems designed to discover and analyze game concepts.
- Evaluate discovered games and determine which ideas should move forward for further testing.
- Clearly explain why a concept has potential or why it should be rejected.
- Analyze gameplay, visuals, marketability, competitors, and the potential for adapting or developing a concept.
- Compare predictions and evaluations with results from real-world tests and identify the reasons behind discrepancies.
- Develop and refine the criteria used to evaluate game concepts.
- Review the quality of new analysis versions and identify weaknesses or areas for improvement.
- Form hypotheses for improving AI-powered discovery and evaluation tools and validate them in practice.
- Define clear tasks for developers and prioritize improvements to internal tools.
- Create concise game briefs and mini-GDDs based on successful concepts to support future product development.
- Review automatically generated game documentation and refine it when necessary.

Requirements
- 3+ years of overall experience in the gaming industry.
- Experience in roles such as Game Designer, Game Producer, Product Manager, or Publishing Manager.
- Experience in game production, publishing, game design, or product management.
- Strong understanding of the mobile games market and broad gaming knowledge.
- Ability to quickly analyze a game and understand why it works or why it could potentially succeed.
- Solid understanding of core gameplay, meta systems, progression, retention, and monetization.
- Understanding of user acquisition and marketability metrics such as CTR, CPI, and ROAS.
- Strong analytical and product-oriented thinking.
- Ability to make decisions with incomplete data and clearly communicate the reasoning behind them.
- Ability to turn observations and identified problems into concrete hypotheses and actionable tasks.
- Ability to create concise, clear, and practical game documentation.
- Comfortable working with AI tools and motivated to use them as an integral part of your workflow.
- Strong ownership and independence, with the ability to move beyond identifying problems and proactively determine solutions and next steps.
- Experience with mobile publishing, creative testing, prototypes, or MVPs is a plus.
- Familiarity with AppMagic, Sensor Tower, data.ai, or similar market intelligence tools is a plus.
- Experience developing internal product or AI-powered tools is a plus.
